after three days of looking at art and architecture, we still look pretty good, huh? (just kidding) I wish Thomas had gotten the background in the picture because the view was amazing. I am sure I will post a picture of it soon, but time is limited now, school work due tomorrow, yada yada yada.
So there is a strike of almost every kind in Paris today…It took me an hour to get home on the metro, and I had a man’s butt pressed against my stomach (he was a really tall man)the whole way, because it was so crowded. But evidently the train I take was not bad at all compared to the rest, like the one that goes to the airport (Wes takes that one and it took him 1 and a half hours to get to school this morning after rush hour). “We strike” in French apparently is, “On greve” (with an accent over the first e) and it is definitely a great part of the French culture. I am integrating it into my own standards for living, so if you guys see me some time later on in life holding up a sign marching in a circle holding a sign that says, “Je greve” (meaning “I strike” - don’t forget the accent over the first e) then you know what it means.
